Building Bridges Between Us

BuildBridges was founded in 2018, as a 501 (C3) non-profit, by a small group dedicated to developing ways to bring people together across racial, cultural and religious divides.

‍Our mission is to use music and storytelling to inspire individuals to actively build relationships with people of different backgrounds.

‍At the heart of our organization is a troupe of talented young musical artists from diverse backgrounds dedicated to bridge building. They have collaborated in creative partnership with team leaders, Eduardo Mendonca, Musical Director and Gary Wenet, Executive Producer and Co-Founder, to create exciting music and musical performances, both live and virtual.

iBuildBridges is proud to introduce Classroom Sessions for high school, college and university students.  We partner with instructors from music departments to develop curriculum that will engage music students in stimulating discussions about the many ways music can build bridges between people of different races, cultures and religious backgrounds.
 
Our sessions introduce students to our talented team of musical artists who enthusiastically share their music and stories—demonstrating first-hand the power they have experienced in sharing musical stories with others, and encouraging others to share their stories.

Each of our musical artists are passionate about  the potential for music to bring people together to bridge divides. Each creative Classroom Session is facilitated by our talented Musical Director, Eduardo Mendonça, working in collaboration with instructors to provide creative, unique and inspirational classroom experiences.

We believe that creating space for young musical artists to connect with students in classrooms around our country will further our mission of honoring and celebrating the richness of our diversity.
