What’s special about iBuildBridges?

It’s about creating connections through music. I was in a band called Winehouse, and we happened to be performing at a space where iBuildBridges was also performing, and it was an instant connection.

Every performance is an opportunity to come together with our family, friends, and community to truly connect and understand each other through music.

What are your musical influences?

My dad has always been in bands, my grandma has always been in bands, so it was something that just fell into place for me. I’m inspired by music in general and everything I hear across genres. The more I get into recording and performing music, the more I hear in music that I’ve heard for years. I can listen back now and appreciate so many different aspects of the music.

What have you learned about bringing people together?

Just listen to each other and learn from each other. Sometimes we feel like we don’t know enough about something, but there’s a lot of power and knowledge in just sitting down and trying to understand people, especially when their experience is different from ours.
