What’s special about iBuildBridges?

The idea of building bridges that connect people from all walks of life is truly special, and to have music as our foundation makes our bridges that much stronger. The more we share our story and experience, the closer we become with one another.

What are your musical influences?

It’s all over the place. I remember my days as a kid on the island of Saipan. Just being in my dad’s pickup truck and hearing island music on the radio or hearing mainland tunes. My dad would bump CDs of oldies he loved listening to, like old rock and roll. So, all sorts of things.

As my journey continued, I found myself gravitating to a whole bunch of different music from all parts of the world. Some of my biggest influences have to be the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nocko, and Bob Marley. The list keeps growing. It’s constantly changing.

What have you learned about bringing people together?

Whatever change you feel like seeing in the world, embody that. And it looks different for everybody. For some people it’s writing a song that brings people together. For others, it’s showing up to a protest. Whatever that means for you and however you feel like you can best contribute to a better world, that’s what you should do.
